A thousand months ago, in early 2020, Bong Joon-ho cleaned up at the Golden Globes and the Oscars for his movie Parasite. Soon after, like 800 months ago, Parasite hit Hulu (it’s still there!) along with many of Bong Joon-ho’s other movies.
For many, who had heard of Parasite and, especially after the historic award wins, had been looking forward to streaming the movie, it was a chance to catch up with his films and acknowledge what many film nerds already knew, Bong Joon-ho is a master director.
Now, near the end of 2020, it is possible to stream all but one of his movies on major streaming services.
Parasite – Hulu
Snowpiercer – Netflix
Okja – Netflix
Mother – Hulu, Tubi
The Host – Prime
Barking Dogs Never Bite – Hulu
The only movie not available to stream for free is his first masterpiece, Memories of Murder. It is available to rent on VOD and there is a forthcoming Criterion Collection DVD/Blu release.
